The Casino, Florida in the 50's

“Florida in the 50’s” series includes the historic Lido Beach Casino painting. It was built as a WPA project and demolished in 1969 except for the most notable detail of the building, the eight foot high cast concrete sea horses. In 1983 the sea horses were recast, disappeared again and today are reappearing in public places in Sarasota, Florida for all to once again enjoy.
